You can try IE Tab extension for Firefox, which allows you to right click and use Windows dlls to run the current tab as an Internet Explorer page. I use this a lot.

Windows XP systems come with IE 6. When Windows is installed, IE 6 is installed. IE 7 would have to be downloaded either manually or automatically by windows update. Download it here:

Ensure that you internet connection is stable.

did u make sure you used a genuine Product Key from Microsoft

ensure that you connection stays on while you update to ie7

hope that helps
Make sure your window is genuine.
There are a few things to consider:

1.) The Windows Installation Compact Disc - Is it scratched, or are there any smudges/fingerprints on the 'READ'* side of the disc?

2.) Additionally, if you're using the BETA version of IE7, it will have compatibility issues. In that case visit this link, after first uninstalling your current INTERNET EXPLORER software... (noted in the following step.)http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloa...

3.) Finally note, that often times your Firewall - set up via Anti-Virus Software, could be preventing IE7 to install correctly. So, first you need to UNinstall the current version of IE7, using your CONTROL PANEL%26gt;ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS%26gt; ADD/REMOVE WINDOWS COMPONENTS. (In the 'Classic View' the option should appear in the upper left corner of your Add/Remove Programs window.) Then, TEMPORARILY disable your Anti-Virus Software by right-clicking the corresponding icon in your task bar - choosing QUIT/SHUT DOWN. Next, insert your Windows Operating System disc into the top-most CD-ROM Drive, then choose to "REPAIR AN INSTALLATION"... (It should be an option that pops up.) Before reactivating your Anti-virus software, test your new version of IE7. If it works fine, try again with the Anti-virus software running. Make sense? Yep that's a lot to take in; but I've dealt with this issue on several occasions, and the aforementioned method resolved the issue.

*READ Side is the mirror-like 'reflective' side of the disc, that has no print, and is read via CD-ROM Drive..READ SIDE DOWN!
