How do I keep IE users from having to enable javascript?

Trying to implement a chart onto a page. When tested in IE javascript needs to be enabled. I'm getting the code from: http://www.explainingmortgages.com/rates...

When i go to there site javascript does not have to be enabled and the chart is still visible. Why is that and is there a work around?

The code example on that page is javascript and the user has to have javascript enabled to run the javascript. It's as simple as that.

The website itself (http://www.explainingmortgages.com/rates... does not contain any javascript and they probably use server side scripting to display the chart. Because they only supply you with a javascript option, your users must have javascript enabled.

Have you tried Firefox? It is far better and more stable than IE7.

Get it at: http://www.getfirefox.com/

Why Internet Explorer 7 (IE 7) stop working after some days?microsoft word internet explorer

Internet Explorer really isn't the best browser that you can use. The crappy thing about it is that Microsoft has decided to have it read code different from the standard for HTML, so sometimes it will display things differently on the page than it should. If I were you I would just switch to Mozilla Firefox. It is much better plus there are tons of cool extensions that you can download for it that make your internet life easier.
It's buggy and not worth using.

Go back to IE 6.
Firefox is compatible with all operating systems.

if you try to use IE7 on a mac, the webpage will look ugly and scrambled. Microsoft doesn't make high quality products free.

the only microsoft Product i use is windows xp. everything else is a non-microsoft product.
Yes that's true that IE7 stops working on 2 occasions.

1- When u r downloading

2- When Pop-up blockers kill the Pop up window.

The reason is the bug on IE7 close event. When you close IE7 , it crushes on the spot. Similarly, it happens when you try to download. AT the time of downloading, IE7 creates its new instance for redirecting and transfers its control to either Dialog Box (having run, save options) or Any downloading utility. At the same moment, IE7 fires the close event to kill the new created instance. Hence, it crushes . But so far Microsoft hasn't released ANY patch to Fix this bug.
You only need to do a search on here to see how many people are having problems with IE7. The best thing to do is download Mozilla Firefox available from http://www.mozilla.com/ Its faster, more user friendly, easily customisable to suit your needs and no problems.

Import saved passwords from IE to Firefox and visa versa?

Is there a way to import saved user names and passwords from IE to Firefox and visa versa? Cuz that would make it much easier rather than retyping all of them?

Thanks!

Import saved passwords from IE to Firefox and visa versa?internet explorer 6

Heaven, forbid!

Passwords are meant for security.

You'll have to come up with a better way of managing your user-names and passwords than passing them around among your browsers. (You can't do it anyway.)

"Easier" and security are mutually exclusive. They don't relate to each other.

Firefox is the best browser there is. Takes the least memory, the least susceptible to anything malicious, and has the most potential for actual page room.

I just upgraded to IE 7 and now can't get to my yahoo mail, any suggestions?

I just upgraded my computer. It runs XP Home Edition and IE 7 was installed. Since then I can display the yahoo.com home page but when I click on the mail link I can put in my username and password, but it won't display the page. I get an error page every time, no matter what link or address I use to try to get there. Help!

It's just a coincidence. A lot of us are having trouble accessing our Yahoo mail right now. Wait a little while longer.

Edit: It seems to be working again. You might need to log out from the main Yahoo page and then try to log in again.

Do you have some kind of internet security suite installed with some kind of adblocking? Many of those will stop .gif animation.
you should visit the ZoneAlarm support section and ask.
Go into ie settings and allow html. Also, they have to be jpeg or gif, so "save as" with those extensions.
